Techno-economic assessment of a hybrid connected PV solar system

Abstract The current work was performed a techno-economic analysis of 5-kWp capacity hybrid-connected solar system installed on the roof house at Diyala province, Iraq (33.77° N, 45.14° E, elevation 44 m). rooftop PV consists 18 polycrystalline modules 355 W each, an energy storage consisting 8 batteries 150 Ah, 12 V, and intelligent inverter capacity. string output load sharing between output, grid, discharging from are studied. While economic assessment is by calculating net present value (NPV) depending discount cash flow method, results, payback time found. system’s annual results showed that yield 8.9 GWh/year, array efficiency, performance ratio, efficiency were 0.126, 0.66, 0.92, respectively. reference, array, final yields 6.1, 3.88, 3.99 h/day, minimum feed to grid in summer, maximum winter. On other hand, purchasing less tariff for should not be than 0.1 $/kWh with PB equal lifetime; 0.12 profitably Iraq, as 10 years.
